Women Who Compute, WWC, is an organization formed in 2014 at UT Dallas. We are an organization that promotes, celebrates and supports females in technology in our community. To encourage students to pursue a career in tech and make them aware of the opportunities available for them to succeed, we host a variety of networking events, tech talks, coding sessions with female engineers, and an annual Speed Mentoring event, which allows students to interact with engineers from various companies for potential career opportunities.
The purposes and goals of WWC are:
(1) To cultivate a community of female engineering and computer science students at The University of Texas at Dallas.
(2) To provide mentorship and support to women in computing.
(3) To provide personal and professional development.
(4) To encourage women to pursue a career in the field of engineering and computer science.
